Brian L. Sublett

Brian Sublett, age 60, of Warsaw, KY peacefully passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the
Gallatin Nursing and Rehab.

Brian was born on March 10,1963 in Madison, IN. He was the son of Phyllis McCann and the late Wayne Sublett. Brian was a 1981 graduate at Switzerland County High School. During the next few years Brian worked at several local businesses in Vevay.

On March 23, 1989, he was united in marriage to his lifelong partner former Cleo Rose Martin Messmer, at the Old Immanuel Apostolic Church in Sherman, KY. Brian and Cleo enjoyed dancing at multiple locations in Kentuckiana. Brian worked at several establishments in Kentucky. His last place of employment was as a baker for Schwan’s Frozen Foods in Florence, KY. Brian had a special love and appreciation for Bluegrass Gospel and was a member of the Concord Pentecostal Church in Verona. He enjoyed making quilts, sewing, and antiquing.

Brian will be missed by his mother, Phyllis McCann and stepfather Daniel McCann of Union, KY, brother, Andy (Janet) Truitt of Vevay, IN; stepmother Carol Ann Sublett, brothers, Steve Sublett of Vevay, IN and Scott (Michelle) Sublett of Raleigh, NC; his sisters Stephanie Greves of Vevay, IN and Shila Sublett of Vevay, IN; stepdaughter, Melissa (Charles) Readnour of Crittenden, KY. Stepson, Robert (Brenda) Messmer of Crittenden, KY; two step- grandchildren
Megan Freyer of Harland, KY and Cody Messmer of Lexington, KY. He also had four step- great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday June 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Rick Conley officiating.

He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Cleo Sublett in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
