Callie Frances Barnett of Williamstown, Kentucky

Callie Frances Barnett , 88, a Williamstown resident and widow of James McCoy Barnett, died Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Florence Park Nursing and Rehab in Florence, KY.  Born in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Cecil and Ada Lee Taylor Souder.

On June 12, 1948, Callie was united in marriage to James McCoy Barnett; he preceded her in death on October 3, 1993. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved family and enjoyed them all as they grew older. She had a special love for drawing and artwork. She was a former employee of American Sign in Florence, KY and was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son: James Barnett of Williamstown, KY; four daughters: Debbie Bowlin of Corinth, KY, Wilma Chipman of Corinth, KY, Patty King of Dry Ridge, KY, Barbara Perkins of Harrison County, KY; two brothers: Jon Souder of Dry Ridge, KY, Gilbert Souder of Florence, KY; two sisters: Ada Mae Skirvin of Williamstown, KY and Christine Scroggins of Williamstown, KY. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Michael Reuben Bowlin, one brother: Clarence Souder, Jr. and one sister: Juanita Souder.

Visitation will be Thursday September 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
