Carol Ann Cleveland

Carol Ann Cleveland, 5 9, a Dry Ridge, KY resident, died Saturday May 13, 2023 at her residence. Born on June 18, 1963 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Charles and Audrey “Libby” Olivia Nutter Exterkamp.

On April 11, 1980 Carol was united in marriage to Jeffrey Lee Cleveland; he survives. She worked as a food service representative for Turfway Park and St. Elizabeth Medical Center. When she wasn’t working as a housewife and homemaker, she enjoyed attending races at Thornhill Race Track and watching her favorite shows on television, which included: General Hospital, Criminal Minds, Dark Shadows and Virgin River. Family and friends have fond memories of her sitting on her porch, talking on the phone and enjoying her favorite drink, Coca-Cola…but their great memories are of her loving on her children and grandchildren, all of whom lovingly called her “Mom-Mom”.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Lee Cleveland; one daughter: Christy Lee Cleveland Thomas of Dry Ridge; one son: Jeffery Thomas Cleveland of Dry Ridge; two brothers: James Edward (Angela) Exterkamp of Petersburg and Timothy Charles (Cece) Exterkamp of Laredo, TX and two sisters: Debbie O. (Gene) Nelson of Dry Ridge and Kim K. (Richard) Martin of Union. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Olivia (Dayshawn) Aleta Thomas Davis, Isabella Grace Reynolds, Julian James Drennan, J. Luke Thomas, Austin Patrick Thomas, Christian Jeffrey Thomas Cleveland and one great-grandchild: Bradley Xavier Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Connie Lee Serra and a great-nephew: Brison Matthew Nelson; the name "Mom-Mom" originated from Brison and it became the name she was most affectionately known as.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 7:00. She will be entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Erlanger on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 10.00 a.m.
