Mrs. Carol Hall Hedger, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her husband James Daniel Hedger.
Carol was a former employee of Grant Co. Schools of 36 years. She was a KY Colonel and a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church. She loved to work in her flower garden and loved to travel. She was well known for her culinary skills. She also took pride in having a beautiful home that was always "spotless". She is described as a loving wife, mother and grandmother whom never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.
On September 14, 1949, Carol was born to the late Alfred Hall and Hazel Landrum Hall. In 1971 she met her future husband at a Grant Co. Basketball game. They continued to date a year after and were united in marriage on June 30, 1972. From this union, was born one son, Jimmy Dan Hedger (Misty) of Dry Ridge and one daughter, Jamie Hedger Brantley (Jeff). In addition to her children, she is survived by five grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James D. Hedger and one brother, Steve Hall.
Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 12-2pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden, KY. Funeral services will be at 2pm. Rev. Matt Hall will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to a Veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
