Cecil Abner

Cecil Abner. a Williamstown resident, passed away Wednesday morning, September 14th, 2022 at the Hospice Care Center of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 91. He was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on Friday, August 28th, 1931, to the late Theo Abner and Elise Smith. Cecil was a Military War Veteran, serving overseas in the United States Army during the Korean War Campaigns that began in June of 1950, and lasted until the Korean Armistice Cease-fire became effective in July, 1953. After returning home from serving his country, Cecil made a career out of being a liaison for the Community Action Center here in Williamstown, Kentucky. Cecil's life and military service will be honored at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery- North on the afternoon of September 29th, 2022. A graveside service, along with military honors, will be conducted at the veterans cemetery beginning at one o'clock PM.
