October 21, 1935 - March 8, 2024

Charlene Thornton Rogers of Williamstown, KY and formerly of Corinth, KY was born October 21, 1935 in Folsom, KY and died Friday, March 8, 2024 at Grant Center, Williamstown, KY at the age of 88 years.

She was the daughter of the late Harold Blain and Beatrice Lillian Delph Thornton. She was a homemaker, former owner of the Rogers Funeral Home, Corinth, KY, and a member of the Corinth Christian Church. She was united in marriage on January 12, 1957 to Eddie Davis Rogers, who preceded her in death in 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, John Thornton and her sister, Lillian Graham.

Surviving are her three sons, Jeff (Melissa) Rogers of Lexington, Tim Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO, and Chris Rogers, of Louisville; 2 grandchildren, Olivia Rogers and David Rogers, both of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother, David Thornton of Cary, NC.

Charlene will be remembered as a beautiful southern lady who had a warm smile that revealed her genuine love for others. She was also famous for her annual hand-drawn Christmas cards, calligraphy, lovely alto singing voice, baking and her struggle to arrive anywhere on time. She loved flowers, birds, bunnies and butterflies. In addition, Linda Thomas is much appreciated by the family for being a faithful friend, as well as a perpetual source of all things chocolate.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Corinth Christian Church, 330 Old Corinth Owenton Rd, #3305, Corinth, KY  41010.  Burial to follow at the Corinth IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will also be Friday, 11:00am-1:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Corinth Christian Church or your local Hospice organization.
