Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of

Mr. Charles Thomas Asher
Mr. Charles Thomas Asher, age 74, of Canaan, Indiana formerly of Grant County, Kentucky, entered this life on December 13, 1947 in Flat Lick, Kentucky in Knox County. He was the loving son of the late Reed Preston and Mollie May Baker Asher. He was raised in Milford, Ohio and graduated in 1965 from Milford High School in Milford, Ohio. Charles met his future wife, Sharon Kay Brand while there were in high school and this happy union of 54 years was blessed with sons, Rodney and Ryan. The family moved to Grant County, Kentucky in 1973 and he had worked for General Electric in Cincinnati for over 30 years working in all aspects of the company. Charles also owned and operated Asher and Associates Real Estate and Appraisal Company for many years. He loved to farm and was known as a hard worker. He held membership in the Grant County Masonic Lodge No. 85 F. & A.M., the Covington Scottish Rite and the Oleika Shriners in Lexington, Kentucky. Charles loved talking politics, hunting, being with his grandchildren, reading and helping where needed. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and a friend to many. He had resided in the Canaan community the past two and a half years and attended the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church.  Charles died on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:57 p.m. at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehab Center in Vevay, Indiana with his loving family at his side.
A LOVING FAMILY
Charles will be missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Kay Brand Asher of Canaan, Indiana; his loving sons, Pastor Rodney "Rod" Asher and his wife, Jenny of Canaan, Indiana, Ryan Asher and his wife, Stacy of Corinth, Kentucky; his beloved grandchildren, Chelsea Asher Yates (Clinton), Easton Asher (Ginny), Jacob Asher (Madaline), Morgan Asher, Nicholas Asher and Jordan Blakemore; his great grandchildren, Caid and Cali; his brother in law, Richard Brand and his wife, Paula of Florida; his nieces, Donna Cain and her husband, Danny and Paula Worthington and her husband, Robert; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Reed Preston Asher, died January 28, 1973, his mother, Mollie May Baker Asher, died December 19, 1963, and his sister, Clara Marie Asher Smith Mulberry Brown, died December 26, 2020.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at the Elliston & Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street in Williamstown, Kentucky.  Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery,687 US Hwy 50 in Milford, Ohio.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana and Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the Elliston & Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street in Williamstown, Kentucky.
MASONIC SERVICE
Grant County Masonic Lodge No. 85 F. & A.M. will conduct services on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Elliston & Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, Kentucky.
