Charles Willard Courtney

Charles Willard Courtney was born May 21, 1944 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and passed away Feb. 18, 2022 at his residence in Williamstown, KY at the age of 77.  He was the son of the late John Willard and Zelma Louise Jackson Courtney.

On Aug. 8, 1964 Charles was united in marriage to Juanita Bolling Courtney.  In addition to his wife of 57+ years, he is survived by a son: Steven Courtney (Diana) of Crittenden; 4 grandchildren: Eric Courtney, Nicole Courtney, Tyler Courtney and Shelby Courtney May; and 5 great grandchildren: Erilynn Courtney, Corbin May, Carson May, Isabella Phillips and Cameron May.

Charles was preceded in death by a son: Charles "Chuck" Courtney; a grandson: Chad Tigue; and 2 brothers: John William Courtney and Linville Wayne Courtney.

He retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation as a Heavy Equipment Operator.  He was a longtime member of the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly in Dry Ridge.  Charles always enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time outdoors especially mowing yards.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
