Charles L. Hudson

Charles L. Hudson , 79, of Crescent Springs, KY, entered his eternal home on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on August 1, 1945 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Chester and Modenia Howard Hudson.

On April 12, 1976 Charles was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Carolyn Hayden; she survives. After completing his education, he proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Army. For over 30 year he gained much satisfaction meeting and greeting the customers at Wal-Mart, where he served as a cashier. In 2018 Wal-Mart flew him to Florida to honor him with the Customer Service Award. He enjoyed golfing, attending local car meets, following the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats. His gentle spirit and welcoming personality caused him to be endeared by everyone that knew him. Because of his unbridled love for life, he never met a stranger.  His genuine performance of loving friends and family with his whole heart will cause him to never be forgotten. He was a member of Kento-Boo Baptist Church in Florence.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Hayden Hudson, he leaves to carry on his legacy of life and love, one son: David (Tammy) Curry of Alexandria, KY; one brother: Jesse Carrol Hudson of Florence, KY, four grandchildren: Angela, Vincent, Hayden, Brandon, along with three great-grandchildren: Malora, Maxwell and Adeline.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Curry and a grandson, Dale Anthony Hacker.

Visitation will be Thursday December 26, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown.  Funeral services will begin at 12:30.  Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North with a 2:00 arrival time.
