Charles James

Mr. Charles James of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away December 26 at his residence at the age of 81.  Mr. James was born July 4, 1937 in Wolfe County, KY. to the late Charlie A. James and Ava Brewer James.  On January 7, 1956 Mr. James was united in marriage to Charlene Beach.  Mr. James was a retired truck driver and life long farmer.  Mr. James was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church and the Teamsters Union Local 100.

In addition to his parents Mr. James was preceded in death by a great grandson, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Mr. James is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlene Beach James, 2 sons: Roger James of Crittenden, KY., Garry James and his wife Carrie of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 daughters: Greta Kidwell and her husband Mike of Demossville, KY., Ellen O'Nan of Dry Ridge, KY., 8 grandchildren: Eric James, Travis James, Tony Kidwell, Mark Kidwell, Sandra Lilly, Luke O'Nan, Cole O'Nan, Seth O'Nan, 14 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles James will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, December 31 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097.  Visitation will also be on Monday, December 31 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in the New Vine Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Dry Ridge Baptist Church.
