Charles Franklin Kistler was born June 15, 1935 in Cass Co., Indiana and passed away February 28, 2021 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 85. He was the son of the late Howard and Stella Nethercutt Kistler.
Charles retired as an over the road truck driver after 44 years. He worked for several companies but most of his time was spent with Square D. After he retired he worked for Kentucky Motors and O'Reilly delivering auto parts. He loved being outdoors and working in the yard. His favorite pastime was fishing.
Charles was a member of Mercy Ridge church in Dry Ridge and a former member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his life partner: Fran Kistler of Dry Ridge; his son: Charles "Bubby" Kistler (Marcy) of Kokomo, IN; 4 daughters: Kim Kistler of Logansport, IN, Kathy Kistler of Logansport, IN, Mattie Gutman (Tim) of Dry Ridge and Crystal Hoehn (Chad) of Dry Ridge; a sister: Janice Neil of Logansport, IN; 13 Grandchildren: Matthew, Mark and Brandon Gillem, Collin, Shelby, Cooper and Grayson Gutman, Jackson, Morgan and Gabriel Kistler, and Lexi, Addison and Reagan Hoehn; and 9 great grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Keith, Jay, Jim and Marion; and 5 sisters: Garnett, Thelma, Mary Ellen, Jo Ann and Jean.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
