Charles Eugene Wainscott

Charles Eugene Wainscott, better known as "Bootie", was born January 6, 1959 in Carrollton, Kentucky and passed away peacefully at his home in Corinth, Kentucky on April 4, 2025.  He was the son of the late Junior Ray "Logan" and Jeanetta Mae "Toodles" Perkins Wainscott.

Bootie was a retired diesel mechanic for Clark Power in Georgetown for 25 years.  He was faithful member of the Corinth Baptist Church.  Even in his free time, Bootie enjoyed working on cars and trucks.  He enjoyed anything he could do outdoors like going camping, fishing and hunting as well as playing cornhole.  He also loved vegetable gardening and his chickens, but most of all his special dog, Luna.  He was also an avid UK Basketball fan.

In 2010, Bootie was united in marriage to Elizabeth Marie "Sissy" Elkins Wainscott.  In addition to his wife, Sissy, he is survived by three sons: Michael Raymond Wainscott (Taunya) of Owenton, Ryan Eugene Wainscott (Sierra) of Corinth and Charlie Malcolm Wainscott (Mariah) of Cordova; three stepdaughters: Shannon Renee Richardson of Powell Co., Chelsea Nicole Schwartz (Zachary) of Crittenden and Kailyn Marie Bell (Taylor) of Owenton; a brother: Mitchell Carroll Wainscott of New Columbus; two sisters:Peggy Johnson (Jackie) of Corinth and Debbie House (Clinton) of New Columbus; 16 grandchildren: Olivia, Ivagail, Cheston, Carleigh, Abby, Emma, Brandon, Bowden, Presley, Tinsley, Lakelyn, Hudson, Haleigh, Kadin, Keegan and Kase; and 3 great grandchildren: Brixleigh, Aiden and Avery.

Bootie was preceded in death by a son, John Logan Wainscott, and a brother, Jeffrey Lee Wainscott.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Burial will follow in the New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth.
