Christopher Paul Hudgins

Christopher Paul Hudgins , 60, of Corinth, KY, passed away on Monday May 6, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence, KY. Born on February 12, 1964 in Carrollton, KY, he was the son of Sondra Lee Jenkins Hudgins and the late Curtis Paul Hudgins.

Chris worked at Gene Snyder Airport in Falmouth, Ky. repairing, painting and detailing airplanes. He was an expert mechanic and would restore cars and trucks as well.  Chris demonstrated an outstanding aptitude for mechanics and machinery from a very young age.  He was always building and creating.  He built his very first car, a Camaro, when he was only 16 years old. Through the years he lovingly served his family and friends as a mechanic and fixer of almost anything.

From 1988 to 1993 Chris lived in Sun City, California where he restored vintage cars.  He was a history buff and was an expert on World War II, especially aviation.  He also collected World War II antiques and loved history.

He leaves to carry on his memory, his mother, Sondra Hudgins of Corinth; two sisters: Carey (Jack) Tamplin of Owenton, Amber Vann of Fort Thomas, KY; three step-sons, Shawn (Brandy) Finch of Farmersville, California and their children: Caleb, Jason, Abby and Olivia. Todd Finch of Dana Point, California and his son: Bradley, Chris “Little Chris” (Christina) Finch of Grant Co., KY; and their children: Dilynn, Hailey, Cory and Seth; two nephews: Austin (Mariah) Vann, Jacob Tamplin and two nieces:  Abby Vann and Samantha Tamplin, along with a host of friends. In addition to his father, Curtis, he was preceded in death by Deniece Finch and Kim Hall.

Visitation will be Friday May 17, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home – Corinth.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery on Fortner Ridge Road in Owenton.
