Clara Marie Brown

Clara Marie Asher Smith Mulberry Brown was born October 18, 1939 in Flat Lick (Knox Co.), Kentucky and passed away December 26, 2020 at her residence in Crittenden, Kentucky at the age of 81.  She was the daughter of the late Reed P. and Mollie M. Baker Asher.

Clara was preceded in death by 2 husbands: Lloyd Smith in 1983 and James Mulberry in 2000.

She was a former clerk for Case & Flynn and WW Market in Crittenden and formerly worked at Piles Chevrolet.  She also served her community as a member of the Crittenden City Council.

Clara was a faithful and dedicated member of the Piner Baptist Church in Piner, KY.  She alway enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader, and loved quilting.  Her greatest joy came from her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: Vanous Brown; 2 daughters: Donna Cain (Danny) of Williamstown and Paula Worthington (Robert) of Crittenden; a son: Kevin Brown (Jennifer) of Scottsville; a brother: Charles T. Asher (Sharon); 8 grandchildren: Brian S. Maines (Heather), Brandon Cain, Tasha Morris (Bo), Jessica McDaniel (Chris), Kayla Chappell (Robert), Robert Worthington III (Sheridan), Emma Rose Brown and Benjamin Brown; and 11 great grandchildren: Mariah Meither, Jayden Maines, Preslee Maines, Brinkley Cain, Chase Morris, Cameron Morris, Paiton McDaniel, Paislie McDaniel, Harper Chappell, Parker Chappell and Paxton Chappell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday but will be private and by invitation only.  Burial will be in the Hammons Cemetery in Flat Lick, Kentucky.
