Clarence Leo Adams

February 25, 1932 — October 11, 2024

Mr. Clarence Leo Adams, a Falmouth resident, peacefully departed this life on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 92.  He was the husband of Bettye Jo Courtney Adams.

Clarence was born on February 25, 1932 to the late William Goble Adams and Vadia Poore Adams.  He graduated Morgan High School where he was an avid basketball player.  He was united in marriage to Bettye Jo Courtney on November 28, 1953 and was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1954.  Upon discharging from the Army, Clarence became a tobacco and cattle farmer.  He continued his passion of farming throughout his lifetime.  Clarence was also a former claims adjuster for the USDA.  He was a faithful man whom was a lifetime member and former Chairmen of the Deacons at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  His passion was raising and working Belgian horses and rarely missed an opportunity to watch UK Basketball games.  In his free time, he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Bettye, granddaughter Amy (Dennis) Hensley and three great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Leo Adams, brother Harold Adams, five sisters, Ruth West, Dorothy Justice, Geneva Kells, Mildred Courtney, Cecil Williams, and grandson Bryan Adams.

A graveside burial will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.  Memorials are suggested to the family, c/o Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Williamstown, KY 41097.
