Clarence Mitchell "Mitch" Clifton was born Aug. 25, 1948 in Owen Co., Kentucky and passed away Nov. 10, 2018 at his residence in Dry Ridge at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Daniel Clifton and Frances Betty Wright Alexander.
Mitch was a farmer having worked for Henry Wright and was a former factory worker with Sun Manufacturing in Williamstown. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed horses and collecting John Deere items.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Ann Kinman Clifton; a son: Thomas Edward Clifton of Carlisle, a daughter: Sandra Bussell of Carlisle; 2 brothers: Lendyn "Woog" Webster of Dry Ridge and Frank Dewayne Alexander of Williamstown; 2 sisters: Mary Betty Hon of Ohio and Frances Edna Alphin of Williamstown; nephews: Gary "Bub" Barber of Williamstown and Todd Bronson Wright of Dry Ridge; several other nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Troy Michael Clifton; a brother: Ronald Gene Clifton; 3 sisters: Marsha Ann Rodriguez, Dorothy Cook and Nadine Clifton Hiles; and an uncle: Henry Wright.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Kinman Family Cemetery on Goldsvalley Spur Rd., Dry Ridge.
