Clarence Alvin Gordon

July 11, 1937 — December 27, 2024

Clarence Alvin Gordon was born July 11, 1937 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away December 27, 2024 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 87.  He was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Lorena Whaley Gordon.

Clarence was a barber and owner of Gordon's Barber Shop.  He was a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington.  Clarence was "always on the run" and loved keeping busy.  He enjoyed hanging out with friends at the Florence Mall where he could be found almost every morning.  In his younger days, Clarence enjoyed fishing and bow hunting and was a member of the Boone County Bow Hunters Club.  He was also an avid bowler.

On July 6, 1957, Clarence was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Smith who preceded him in death in 2017.  He is survived by a son: Garry Gordon (Ronda) of Nashville, TN; three daughters: Deborah Sue Gordon of Union, Diane Helmers (Tom) of New Richmond, OH and Donna Hauser of Florence; a brother: Calvin Gordon (Aileen) of Covington; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a close friend: Patricia Mossman.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Gordon, and a sister, Beulah Ackman.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
