Clifton Nicholas "Nick" Kinman

February 9, 1941 — April 13, 2022

Clifton Nicholas “Nick” Kinman of Williamstown, KY was born February 9, 1941 in Williamstown and died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Williamstown at the age of 81.

He was the son of the late Jesse C. and Laura Mae House Kinman. He was a construction worker, mechanic, self-employed welder, and farmer all of his life. He showed Walking Horses with his brother and father, later on he pulled horses with his son and transported the pulling sled for the Bluegrass Pulling Association for a number of years.

Nick loved people, never met a stranger, loved his grandchildren and always had a peppermint candy in his pocket to share with them and any animal that was willing to take it, especially his dog and constant companion, Charlie. He was instrumental in preparing the grounds at the Grant County Fair Grounds when they moved it from Crittenden to Williamstown. Nick was a member of the Williamstown Christian Church.

On September 4, 1999, he was united in marriage to his wife, Patsy Fields Kinman. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Kinman in 1987.

Surviving is his wife of 22 years, Patsy; 3 sons, Scott Nicholas Kinman of Williamstown, Michael Conrad Kinman of Williamstown, and James Sanford (Brandi) Kinman of Brooksville; a step-son, David (Tiffany) Fields of Dry Ridge; a brother, Jess Sanford Kinman of Williamstown; 3 grandsons, Tyler, Jeffrey, and Lethan Kinman; 6 granddaughters, Meghan Kinman, Dr. Jesse Kinman, Jackie Kinman, Katilyn Kinman, Haylei Field, and Lillie Kinman; and 3 great-grandchildren Madelynn Bertrand, Jeffrey McClure and Bristol McClure.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are recommended to the Williamstown Christian Church, Gideons International, or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
