Clinton Wright, 88, of Crittenden, KY, passed away on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care – Edgewood. Born on June 13, 1936, in Somerset, KY, he was the son of the late Alva Fount and Maudie Mae Rogers Wright. On December 27, 1957, Clinton was united in marriage to the former Willa Mae Chambers. In 1978 he retired from the IRS, where he served as a Computer Operator. He graduated from Simon Kenton High School; upon graduation he served in the United States Army during the Korean Era. Fishing, hunting, coin collecting, gun collecting and shooting sports were among his hobbies. He was a member of the Crittenden Masonic Lodge. Survivors include three daughters: Doris J. (late Paul) Alexander of Vevay, IN, Rita M. (Chip) Jones of Butler, KY, Teresa A. Mehler of Cincinnati, OH; one son: Anthony G. (Phyllis) Wright of Crittenden, KY; one brother: Paul A. Wright of Independence, KY, along with 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Wilbur C. Wright, Carl R. Wright, Eddie Wayne Wright and two sisters: Irene Roark and Hazel Heller. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday September 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N).
