Corda Fields Kidwell

Corda Lee Fields Kidwell, formerly of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away at Boone Springs in Union, KY on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the age of 102.  Corda was the widow of the late Alvin Kidwell.

Corda was born on January 15, 1922 to the late Walter Scott Fields and Belle Gillispie Fields.  She was an active member of the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly where she dearly loved God and her church family.  She was a former Wal Mart greeter and in earlier years worked for Holiday Inn Hotels.  She loved vegetable gardening, camping, dogs, cats, cooking and baking.

She comes from a family of 13 siblings and is survived by four special nieces, Linda Burchfield, Donna Turner, Gloria Frye and Rita Faye Fields.  In addition to her late husband Alvin, she is preceded in death by brothers, William, Stanley, Howard and Carl Fields, and sisters Dorothy Hamilton, Betty Johnson, Bernie Burris, Naomi Wells, Edith Colston, Louise, Zelma Darrell and Gladys Fields.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral will be at 1pm.  Rev. Gayliss Gaines will be officiating with special music by Ruth Epperson and Mary Gaines.  Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly.
