Danny Bailey

Daniel Wayne Bailey was born August 20, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee and passed away December 14, 2021 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 59.

Danny, as he is lovingly known, was united in marriage on Aug. 22, 1981 to the love of his life, Sally Johnson Bailey.  In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his son, Daniel Peter Bailey, and daughter, Carmen Fuyi Bailey, both of Union, KY.  He was the son of JoAnn Herron Bailey and the late Harold Bedford Bailey.  Danny also leaves 2 brothers: Ronald Van Bailey (Laura) of Memphis, TN and Jeffrey Keith Bailey (Dorothy) of Mason, TN.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Michael Bailey.

Danny was Chief Operating Officer of Certified Flooring Installation, Inc. in Florence.  He was a very devoted servant-leader and active member of Florence Baptist Church where he has served in many capacities including Deacon, small group leader, Chairman of Personnel Committee, Chairman of Deacons, and Men’s Ministry Leader.  Danny loved the Lord with all he had and would share that love with anyone he met, or any way possible.

Mostly, if you knew Danny, you knew his love of Sally, Daniel & Carmen and that spending time with his family was his greatest enjoyment of all!   Additionally, he was an avid golfer, loved to travel, a great friend, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mount Zion Road, Florence, KY 41042.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the church.  Burial will follow in the Richwood Presbyterian Cemetery in Richwood, KY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Daniel & Carmen’s college fund or to Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mt Zion Rd., Florence, KY 41042.
