Mr. Daniel "Dan" Wayne Jackson, a Williamstown resident, passed away at Grant Healthcare & Rehab on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the age of 69. He was the husband of the late Paula Pennington Jackson.
Dan was a painter for most of his life and retired as the owner of Jackson Painting. He was a volunteer firefighter for Williamstown and Corinth Fire Department's, a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church and a volunteer for Helping Hands in Williamstown, KY. In his pastime, he loved to build model airplanes, play video games and watch his favorite movie, "The Christmas Story". He loved flying and cooking, and he was known for his famous chili as well as smoking Daddy burger's. Where ever he moved to, his neighbors always enjoyed his decorations during the Halloween and Christmas holidays, but Dan's favorite holiday was the fourth of July when he loved to watch fireworks. His family describes him as being a funny, comical man who never met a stranger. Above anything else, Dan loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren, whom all called him "Pappy".
Dan is survived by two sons, Ben (Bridgett) Jackson, Andrew (Samantha) Jackson, two daughters, Kathleen Jones, Ashley (James Royalty) Jackson and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Crayton Jackson, one sister Emma Jones and his favorite pet dogs, Beethoven, Ralph and Morty.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the Dry Ridge Christian Church on Friday November 18, 2022 at 12 Noon with Pastor Tim Polley officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the services. Memorials are suggested to the Grant County Helping Hands.
