Delano Eugene Edmondson

Delano Eugene Edmondson was born Nov. 1, 1944 in Folsom, Kentucky and passed away March 14, 2022 in Erlanger, Kentucky at the age of 77.  He was the son of the late Chester Brown and Alma J. Beach Edmondson.

On Sept. 14, 1968 Delano was united in marriage to Beverly Lane Rose Edmondson who preceded him in death on March 2, 2014.  He is survived by his daughter: Canarissa Martin (Erik) of Tuscaloosa, AL; his son: Erik Edmondson (Robyn) of Covington; a sister: Bernadine Mullins (Vernon) of Dry Ridge; a sister-in-law: Bea Edmondson of Dry Ridge; 2 brothers-in-law: Gary Rose of Crittenden and Tim Rose of Dry Ridge; and 2 grandchildren: Jacob Martin and Rebecka Edmondson.

Delano was a devoted member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam.  Early in his working career, Delano was a licensed Funeral Director and spent 12 years working at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home.  After his time at Eckler-Hudson, he worked for 18 years as a night watchman at Grant County High School.  He then spent 18 years working as a cashier at Wal-mart in Dry Ridge where he never met a stranger and was always a friendly face.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge.  Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
