Delores "Dee" Marie Hartfiel , 68, a resident of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center – Edgewood.
Born September 2, 1950 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late William and Wanda Kingery Wesselman.
"Dee" as she was affectionately known by friends and family, retired in 2004 from the United States Postal Service in Covington where she worked as a clerk. Currently, she was the co-manager of Helping Hands Thrift Store in Williamstown. She graduated from Holy Cross High School in Covington. She was a member of Mt. Pisgua Methodist Church on Golds Valley Road. She was an avid sports enthusiast and had a special love for playing softball.
Surviving is her wife: Tandy Taylor of Dry Ridge; two sons: Michael (Joe Nissalke) of Louisville, James Hartfiel of Florence; two sisters: Paula Work of Florence, Martha Hassert of Latonia; three brothers: Bob Wessellman of Florida, George Wessellman of Independence and Michael Wesselman of Germany. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Oaks.
Funeral services will be Monday July 8 at 1:00 pm at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown location. Visitation will begin at 10:00 and go until the time of the funeral at 1:00. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger.
