Delvin Edward Sparrow

November 2, 1942 — December 22, 2021

Delvin Edward Sparrow of Dry Ridge, KY was born November 2, 1942 in Cordova, KY and died Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his residence at the age of 79.

He was the son of the late Francis Shepler and Beulah Mae Doane Noble, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, retired manager of the Noble's Restaurant in Corinth, was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Williamstown Christian Church.  He was a former UK Basketball player, was an avid bowler and was a graduate of the Campbellsville College where he received his Bachelors in Physical Education.  He loved to watch UK Basketball, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

Surviving is his wife Alda Vincent Sparrow; 2 daughters, Pamela (Gary) Jenkins of Union, KY and Allison (Chris) Holtzclaw of Stanford, KY; 2 grandchildren, Grace Sparrow of Union, KY and Jacob Holtzclaw of Stanford, KY; and 1 sister, Brenda (Fred) Caudill of Morehead, KY.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown with visitation Tuesday 1:00-3:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
