Dennis Malcolm Poteet

Dennis Malcolm Poteet, 72, of Warsaw, KY, died Tuesday September 20, 2022 at his residence in Warsaw, KY.  Born Sunday May 7, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Benjamin Forrest Poteet and Joyce Sudella Thompson Maines.

He was employed as a truck driver and worked in concrete manufacturing. As a pastime he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; he was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include one son: Sean Poteet of Williamstown; three daughters: Chandra (Donnie) Dunn of Williamstown, Mandy (Scott) Calhoun of Corinth, Jackie Poteet of Dry Ridge; significant other:  Edith Biddle; two sisters: June Jones of Walton and Robin Franks of Tennessee along with eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a sister: Pam Franks.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday September 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) with Rev. David Foley officiating.  A procession will meet at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown at 1:30 and proceed to KVC-N.  Full Military Honors will be observed.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions made in Dennis’s memory to any local Animal Shelter, local VFW, or disabled veteran’s association.
