Dennis Ward Schoonover

Dennis Ward Schoonover of Uniontown, OH was born March 6, 1942 in Parson, WV and died Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Autumnwood Nursing Home in Rittman, OH at the age of 81 years.

He was the son of the late Doyle Ward and Genevieve Marie Kennedy Schoonover. He was a retired truck driver, working over the years for Consolidated Freight and Roberts Express, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1960-1965. Dennis was a member of the VFW in Uniontown Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert James Schoonover, 1 grandson, Zachary Young, and 1 nephew, Herbert Schoonover.

Surviving is 1 daughter, Tina (Tim) Young of Dry Ridge; 2 grandchildren, Michael Swope Jr. of Dry Ridge and Shawn Young of Falmouth; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden Swope and Zylar Swope both of Dry Ridge; and 2 nieces, Debbie Sullivan of Orlando, FL and Cindy Holliday of Elkins, WV.

Graveside services will be 11:00am Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, Kentucky.
