Devorah Dometrich Herbst

Devorah Dometrich Herbst of Dry Ridge, KY was born May 2, 1951 in Covington, KY and died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 72 years.

She was the daughter of the late George P. Wear Jr.  and Jane Ihring Wear. She was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and deputy with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Devorah was also a martial arts instructor and mentor; she was in charge of the U.S. Headquarters of the RYU KYU KOBUDO HOZON SHINKO KAI. On March 23, 1979 she was united in marriage to her husband Paul D. Herbst.

Surviving is her husband, Paul of Dry Ridge, KY and 2 sisters, Marlisa Deaton of Erlanger, KY and Kathy Crowell of Crittenden, KY.

Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 1:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Devorah to Cancer Research of the donors choice.

A celebration reception with food, will follow the services at the cemetery, and will be held at My Old KY Barn, 314 S. Main St. Williamstown KY, Please RSVP number attending to 813-318-1916 .
