Mr. Dexter Cruey, a Williamstown resident, passed away at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the age of 84. He was the husband of the late Ramona Kinmon Cruey.
Mr. Cruey was a cattle farmer all of his life and worked for over 40 years in industrial construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Stewartsville Baptist Church and a member of the Ohio Laborers Union. He loved to play softball, work on his farm, watch UK Basketball, ride his four wheeler, but most of all he loved to spend time with and cherished every moment with his two great grandsons. His daughter and granddaughter describe him as a loving caring paw paw whom they will sadly miss and fondly remember all the great times they spent together.
Dexter is survived by one daughter, Monalee (Charles) Kinman of Williamstown, KY, three brothers, Billy Cruey of Dry Ridge, KY, Gerald Cruey of Latonia, KY, Russell Cruey of Elsmere, KY, one granddaughter, Brandie Miller of South Lebanon, OH and two great grandsons, Brody and Carson. In addition to his late wife Ramona, Dexter is preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn, Shirley, Bobby, Elmer and one sister Mae Hutchinson.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm. Rev. Paul Marksberry will be officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the KY Veteran's Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to the ALS Association.
