Dodge William Mcclure

August 19, 1996 — April 23, 2022

Dodge William McClure, 25, of Hillsboro, OH, formerly of Grant County, KY, passed away Saturday April 23, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Owen County.  Born August 19, 1996 in Edgewood, KY, he was the son of Frederick Ivan and Shawna Charlene Eldridge McClure.

Dodge worked as a general laborer, having a variety of skills, everything from remodeling houses to building houses. At an early age he began to develop a special love for baseball; he loved buying shoes, collecting bandanas, old keys, coins and jewelry, drawing, working on cars and listening to music; he had a special infatuation for treasure hunting and exploring the great outdoors but his greatest fulfillment in life came from spending time with his boys. He was a member of the House of Praise Worship Center in Independence.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents: Fred and Shawna McClure of Hillsboro, OH; his fiancé: Megan Massengale; three sons: Landon Massengale, Kingston William McClure, Waylon Marcus Wade McClure, all of Hillsboro; one daughter: Ashlynn McClure of Crittenden; two brothers: Ivan (Dezaray Rycek) McClure, George Pickett; two sisters: Sara (James) Smith, Leda Ruthann McClure; uncles (on father’s side): William McClure, Jr., Eddie (Stacey) McClure, Teddy (Stephanie) McClure, Ned (Tara) McClure; aunt (on father’s side): Delois (Mitch) Wesley; aunts (on mother’s side): Angela, Pam, Paula, Gina, Charlotte; uncles (on mother’s side): Mike, Bruce, Gary, Leon and Ricky. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive; as well as a niece “to be”, Caiah Willow and a nephew “to be”, Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: William Wade and Cheryl McClure.

Visitation will be Saturday April 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge with Rev. Russell Vance officiating.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in the McClure Family Cemetery located at 4325 Elliston-Mt. Zion Road  Dry Ridge, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dodge’s memory directly to the funeral home and applied toward the funeral expenses.
