Donald Clay Moore

Mr. Donald Clay Moore, a Union resident, passed away at the University Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 69.  He is the husband of Artie Boling Moore.

Mr. Moore was born on April 28, 1950 to the late Edward Moore and Verna Mae Shrout Moore.  He was united in marriage to Artie Boling on June 2, 1988. He was a stone mason most of his life and continued to further his education by taking college courses up until recent years.  Donald loved to work in his flower and vegetable gardens.  He loved to camp, fish, hunt and target shoot.  He adored his pet dog Tess, cat Pie, and horse Cody.  In addition to being an avid outdoorsman, he loved to read, write poetry that became published and had almost completed two novels.

In addition to his wife Artie, Donald is survived by two sons, Donald Ashley Clay Moore of Elsmere, KY, Christopher Brian (Amanda) Moore of Burlington, KY, one stepson, Nathan Whalen of Independence, KY, one daughter, Stacy Colleen Jackson of Bromley, KY, one step daughter, Angel Townsend of Indianapolis, IN, one brother, Allen (Darlene) Moore of Florence, KY, half brother, Timothy Blaine Claypool of Erlanger, KY, two sisters, Kathy Boling of Warsaw, KY, Pamela Combs of Union, KY, two half sisters, Verna Louie of Clarksville, TN, Tammy Kelly of Florence, KY, twelve grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held privately at a later date at the Moore Family Cemetery in Union, KY.  A public Celebration-of-Life Service will be listed here at a future date.  Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
