Donna June Helton

Donna June Helton of Williamstown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 13th, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center in Edgewood, Kentucky; she was 65 years old. She was born in Owenton, Kentucky on Wednesday, June 25th, 1958 to the late Virgil Breeden Jr. and Helen Kinman Breeden. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Breeden, and a sister, Patricia Breeden.

On Monday, August, 9th, 1999, Donna married the love of her life, Ron. The two met at Tradewinds Bar in Walton one late night near closing time. Ron asked Donna to dance and 33 years later they’ve been together ever since. The two would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this summer.

Donna worked as a prep-cook at a number of restaurants throughout her life, including the Country Grill, Family Fare Restaurant, and Gold Star Chili in Dry Ridge. She eventually hung up her apron close to five years ago and retired from her service in the restaurant industry. She was a wonderful cook and greatly enjoyed her work, always making lots of friends wherever she was employed.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her two adoring sons: Virgil (Amy) Roberts of Jonesville, Kentucky and Josh (Niki) Roberts of Williamstown, Kentucky; a brother, Randy (Sherry) Breeden of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; her two sisters: Debbie Woodruff of Danville, Kentucky and Diane (Ron) Colson of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Donna leaves a lasting legacy of her five cherished grandchildren: Morgan, Corbin, Jace, Holden, and Stevie; as well as her treasured great grandchild, McKinley. She was a woman that lived to work, take care of her family, and relish in the time spent with her grandchildren- she loved her grandkids more than anything in this world.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Donna by her family to celebrate and honor her beautiful life from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2024 at My Old Kentucky Barn, 314 S. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.
