Donna Jean Hurston

Donna Jean Hurston, 59, of Falmouth, KY passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood after a brief illness.  Born August 11, 1961 in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Gene and Pauline Bohanon Monroe.

On August 30, 1980 in Crittenden, she was united in marriage to John Thomas Hurston; he survives. She was a dedicated housewife and homemaker. She will be lovingly remembered for the compassionate care she provided to children. She loved cooking, camping and decorating the home, but her greatest love was her grandchildren, whom affectionately called her “Grandma”.   She was a member of the Community Family Church in Independence.

Donna leaves to carry on her legacy of love, her husband of 40 years, John; one son Shawn Hurston and his wife, Somer; a brother: Timothy Allen Monroe of Florida, along with two grandchildren: Cheyenne Hurston and Dakota Hurston.

Visitation will be Saturday April 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Home (Williamstown) with Rev. Floyd Race officiating. Entombment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
