Doris Jean Burnette

Doris Jean McMillan Burnette was born October 29, 1931 in Brookville, Indiana and passed away June 5, 2024 in Erlanger, Kentucky at the age of 92.  She was the daughter of the late John Russell and Opal Lavon Butler McMillan.

Doris was a homemaker and a member of Elsmere Baptist Church.

On February 20, 1954 Doris was united in marriage to Robert Lee Burnette who preceded her in death in 2018.  In addition to her husband of 64 years, Doris was preceded in death by two sons, John Arlinghaus and Darrell Wayne Burnette; three brothers, Lloyd McMillan, Tom McMillan and Carl McMillan; and two sisters, Joyce Harris and Sharyn Thompson.

She is survived by two sons, Bob Arlinghaus (Judy) and Richard Lee Burnette; a daughter, Linda June Lower; two brothers, Don McMillan and Russell McMillan; a sister, Marlene Martin; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 am - 1 pm, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Funeral services will be at 1 PM, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
