Dorothy "Ellen" Smith

Dorothy Ellen Smith , 65, died January 2, 2020 at her residence in Dry Ridge, KY. Born on August 15, 1954 in Newport, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Roberts Sullender.

On June 9, 1973 she was united in marriage to Carl Junior Smith; he survives. Ellen was a 1972 graduate of Campbell Co. High School; she went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University. She retired after many years as a marketing consultant for the Kroger Food Industry. She had a real affection for cooking and enjoyed all water activities, especially swimming and water skiing.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 46 years, Carl Smith, include: one daughter: Pamela Jean Smith of Ashland, KY; two brothers: Robert Sullender of Elsmere, KY, Timothy Sullender of Falmouth, KY; one sister: Bonnie Wagner of Campbell Co., KY; two sister-n-laws: Lorena Thomas of Crittenden, KY, Virginia Metts of Lost Creek, WV and one brother-n-law: Johnny Smith of Copin, WV.

Visitation will be Saturday January 4, 2020 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes , Williamstown from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
