Dorothy Ray Mckenney

Dorothy Ray McKenney was born May 6, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away Mar. 23, 2024 at her residence in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 84.  She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Flippen McKenney.

Dorothy was united in marriage to William E. McKenney who preceded her in death on April 15, 1983.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ludlow, Kentucky.  She was a collector of purses and was named a Kentucky Colonel in 1986.  Dorothy loved to travel.  Some of her favorite places to visit were Florida, California and Tennessee.  She especially loved to visit the ocean and the beach.

She is survived by four sons: Robert R. McKenney, Sr., and his wife Carol, of Powell, OH, Rick D. McKenney of Ft. Wright, Ryan S. McKenney of Los Angeles, CA and Randall L. McKenney of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren: Robert R. McKenney, Jr., and his wife Brittany and Stephanie R. Waldeck, and her husband Jeff; and a great-granddaughter, Ellie R. Waldeck.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Ravens Creek Cemetery.
