Dorothy Fern Turner

Dorothy Fern Stephens Turner of Dry Ridge, KY was born February 2, 1930 in Independence, KY and died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her residence at the age of 88.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Sylvia Loraine Vastine Stephens, a homemaker and farmer, and a member of the Sherman Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Turner in 2016.

Surviving are 2 sons, Elvis and Melvin Turner both of Dry Ridge; 2 daughters, Carolyn Rose of Williamstown and Marilyn Sandlin of Dry Ridge; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roger C. Stephens of Georgetown and Danny Stephens of Independence; and 1 sister, Phyllis Kirk of Independence.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown with burial to follow in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
