Earl Joseph Breeden was born June 30, 1941 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away October 11, 2018 at his residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Earl Bartley and Clara Smith Breeden.
Joe was a member of Revive Church in Dry Ridge and was a former deacon at Latonia Christian Church. He was also a retired truck driver for Blom Trucking and a member of Teamsters Local 100. He was a former Boyscout Leader in Kenton Co. Joe also had many hobbies that he loved. He enjoyed playing the guitar, loved flowers and gardening, and watching westerns. Mr. Breeden was lovingly known as a foster dad to more than 350 children over a 37 year period.
On June 11, 1960 Joe was united in marriage to Rosemay McKinney Breeden. In addition to his wife of 58 years he is survived by 3 sons: Earl Breeden (Lynda) of Williamstown, Jonathan Breeden (Dana) of Eustic, FL and Jerry Breeden of Dry Ridge; 4 daughters: Debbie Race of Dry Ridge, Gina Lyon (Mark) of Taylor Mill, Robin Abney (Dale) of Independence and Jody Ward (Jeff) of Palm Coast, FL; a brother: William "Bill" Breeden of Glencoe; and 18 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Breeden and 3 sisters: Judy Cannon, Joyce Bowman and Brenda Wallace.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown with his son: Earl Breeden, II officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.
