Eddie Lee Morgan

March 26, 1939 — January 28, 2021

Eddie Lee Morgan was born March 26, 1939 in Corinth, Kentucky and passed away January 28, 2021 at his residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 81.  He was the son of the late Daniel Cantril and Leoma Harrison Morgan.

Eddie was a self-employed contractor.  He also served the Dry Ridge community as a former Fire Chief of the Dry Ridge Fire Department and Dry Ridge City Council Member having served several terms.  Eddie along with his wife Juanita enjoyed going to flea markets and he took great pleasure in trading knives.  Eddie was well known in the Grant County area and will be greatly missed by all.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 62 years: Juanita Morgan; a son: Tony Morgan and his wife Diana of Dry Ridge; 2 daughters: Tracy Merrell and her husband Mike of Dry Ridge and Christy Hagedorn and her husband Troy of Dry Ridge; 5 grandchildren: Kelli Owings and her husband Aaron,  Jeremy Merrell, Lauren Merrell, Katelyn Hagedorn Kinman and her husband Jacob and Tori Hagedorn and he has 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: Freddie Morgan; and 2 sisters: Margie Davis and Linda Wyatt.

Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Lee Morgan will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 2 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 South Main Street, Dry Ridge, KY. with Rev. Howard Chipman and Rev. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, February 1 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Shriner's Hospitals or to the Dry Ridge Fire Department Firefighters Association.

Due to the current Covid19 restrictions, our facilities will be limited to 50% capacity and masks will be required while attending.
