Edith Marie Beach Stewart

Edith Marie Beach Stewart , 65, of Independence, KY, passed away Saturday July 29, 2023 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood.  Born on April 29, 1958 in Oldham County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Claude Joseph “Joe” and Anna Lee Halsey Beach.

She was married to Vernon Stewart, he preceded her in death.  She was a dedicated homemaker and housewife; as a pastime she loved playing Bingo and spending time with her best friend, Barb.

She is survived by one son: Thomas “Junior” (Carol) Beach of Warsaw; one brother: Melvin (Mary) Beach of Florence; two sisters: Alberta Spicer of Williamstown, Patricia France of Walton, along with three grandchildren: Ashley, Raymond, Patricia ”PJ” and one great-granddaughter: Harmony Elizabeth.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Walter Raymond Menifee, a daughter: Hazel Whitley, three brothers: Claude Beach, Charles Beach, Gilbert Beach and a sister: Regina Mitchell.

Friends and family may gather at New Vine Run Cemetery on Friday August 4, 2023 at 2:00 for graveside services where she will be laid to rest with other family members.
