Edna Teegarden Jones

Edna Teegarden Jones , 96, of Nicholasville, KY, formerly of Corinth, KY, died Sunday November 10, 2024 at Nicholasville Nursing and Rehab Center.  Born on August 31, 1928 in Georgetown, KY, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret Morrison Teegarden.

She was united in marriage to Norval J. Jones; he preceded her in death on November 19, 1998.  She was a dedicated housewife and homemaker. She was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church where her late husband served as a Deacon and the song leader during the late 60’s and early 70’s.

Survivors include two sons: Tom (Carolyn) Jones of Nicholasville, KY, Jim (Melissa) Jones of Okeechobee, FL; three grandchildren: Amy Jones, Travis (Jessica) Jones, Michelle (Matt) Januski along with five great-grandchildren: Lauren, Wyatt, Leah, Hannah and Mia. Edna was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Teegarden and one brother, Tommy Teegarden.

Visitation will be Saturday November 16, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Rev. Jim Sears officiating.  Edna will be laid to rest, in a private burial, next to her husband, Norval, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Corinth.
