Elaine Hammond Caldwell

Elaine Hammond Caldwell was born in Corinth, Kentucky on February 18, 1936 to Chester and Elizabeth Holbrook Hammond.  She passed away at her home in Williamstown on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 87.  Elaine was married to her loving and devoted husband, Gerald G. Caldwell on March 10, 1956.

To this union, two sons were born: Mark M. Caldwell of Lexington and Chris C. “Whitey” Caldwell (Amy) of Williamstown.  In addition to her loving husband and sons, she is survived by five grandchildren: Lincoln Lawrence Caldwell, Timothy Webster, Trinity Webster, Emily Webster and Kylee Webster.

A long time faithful member of Williamstown Baptist Church, Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the last graduating class of the Corinth High School in 1953.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star #301.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
