Elaine Rutledge

Elaine Jones Rutledge, 94 Sadieville entered her eternal home on Saturday January 4, 2025 at Georgetown Community Hospital.  Born on June 17, 1930 in Scott County, she was the daughter of Malcolm H. and Mabel (Jones) Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Rutledge and brothers: Ralph, Gauis, Henry Jones and sister, Lois (Jones) Rogers.

She is survived by three sons: James D. (Dan) (Sandy) Rutledge of Indianapolis, IN, William H. (Bill) (Patti) Rutledge of Lexington, KY, Donald L. (Don) (Vickie) Rutledge of Albemarle, NC and one daughter, Janet Faye Preston of Sadieville, KY; two brothers: Malcolm Jones, Jr (Lillian) of Corinth, KY and Larry C. Jones (Faye) of Georgetown; three sisters: Thelma Jean Offutt of El Paso, TX, Wanda Reed of Waddy, KY and Joyce Ann Parker of Georgetown, KY along with eight grandchildren: James Rutledge, Heather (Tommy) Martin, Philip (Andrea) Rutledge, David Rutledge, John Paul (Mollie) Rutledge, Nathan (Megan), Karen Preston Robbins, Kathleen Elaine Preston and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death in by a brother, J.L. Jones and a sister, Lois Rogers.

Elaine was a dedicated housewife and homemaker.  She was a creative individual, and her hobbies included sewing, quilting, and listening to country music.  She was a member of Northside Christian Church and Scott County Homemakers.

Celebration of Elaine’s life will be held January 18, 2025 at Northside Christian Church Georgetown KY with visitation starting at 11:00 am and funeral service at 1:00 pm with Philip Rutledge and Nic Skinner officiating.
