Elizabeth Tofono Barker

Elizabeth Tofono Barker was born April 4, 1932 in Beartown, West Virginia and passed away May 24, 2021 at her residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 89.  She was the daughter of the late William G. and Goldie Kennedy Tofono.

Elizabeth was proud to be a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at Carlsbad Nursing Home and Personal Care Nursing Home for most of her career.  She was a member of Stonewall Church of God and enjoyed gardening in her free time.  She will be remembered by her family for her love of cooking and baking and always made a little something special whenever they were together.

On Dec. 31, 1952 Elizabeth was united in marriage to Everett Bruce Barker who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2021 after 68 years of marriage. She is survived by 3 sons: Jimmy Barker of Crittenden, William Ray Barker (Michelle) of Verona and Timothy Wayne Barker (Karen) of Dry Ridge; 2 daughters: Anna Marie Harp of Dry Ridge and Melissa Miller of Williamstown; 12 grandchildren: Scotty, Paul, Sarah, Harlan, Brandon, Brian, Mariah, Justin, Colton, Ashley, Hannah and Jared; and 13 great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica.  In addition she was preceded by her 7 siblings: Lewis Tufano, Charles Tufano, Carl Tufano, William Tufano, Jr., Jack Tufano, Noah Tufano and Mary Juett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge.  Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
