Elizabeth Hammons of Georgetown, Kentucky

Elizabeth Hammons , 92, widow of the late Pruitt Hammons, died Thursday August 30, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Georgetown, KY. Born September 8, 1925, in Scott Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Andy & Lula Gilvin Jenkins.

She was an inspector for Dixie Cup Industries in Lexington and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Georgetown.

In 1952, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Pruitt Hammons in Lexington, KY; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Margaret Elizabeth Fields, one sister: Izetta Young and a brother: Emory Jenkins.

Survivors include a son: John Duff of Georgetown, KY, one sister: Nancy Robey of Elizabethtown, KY, one granddaughter: Michelle Fields; two great-grandchildren: Ashley (Dillon) Boyle, Zoee Grezch, Nevaeh Fields and Savannah Fields, along with three great-great grandchildren: Delaney, Sadie and Tripton Boyle, all of Vero Beach, FL.

A memorial servicee will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Georgetown at a later date. Burial of cremains will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.
