Emery Ralph Montgomery

Emery Ralph Montgomery was born Aug. 16, 1931 in Herd, Kentucky and passed away unexpectedly May 31, 2022 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 90.  He was the son of the late Eddie Green and Hester Lou Davis Montgomery.

Monty, as he is known by those closest to him, was a retired industrial engineer having worked at several places throughout Greater Cincinnati.  He enjoyed gardening and until the last few years he loved fishing and hunting.  Monty also loved music including playing his guitar and singing.

On Aug. 8, 1975 Monty was united in marriage to Jo Ann Reeves Bradbury Montgomery, and while they were married for 46 years they had been inseparable for over 50 years total.  In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons: Kim Edward Montgomery (Denise) of Cincinnati and Glenn Allen Bradbury (Regina) of Critttenden; 3 daughters: Kathy Setters (Mauri) of Cincinnati, Karen Sue Montgomery of Union and Martha Ann Sullivan (Kenneth) of Sharonville; 10 grandchildren; Several Great-Grandchildren; 12 Great Great Grandchildren; and his 2 Kentucky grandchildren: Tara Offutt (Aaron) and Sara Burton (Chris).

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Floy Mae Kidd and Georgia Faye Mobley.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.  There will also be a memorial service to celebrate Monty's life at a later date and will be announced on this website when it has been scheduled.
