Ernest William Stewart , died from injuries sustained in a work related accident in Pittsburg, PA on February 7, 2024 at the age of 38. Born on June 14, 1985 in Edgewood, KY, he was the son of Marjorie Ann Reed Stewart and the late Wiley B. Stewart.
He was a 2004 graduate of Walton-Verona High School and was married to Madison Stewart. Since 2007 he has proven to be a dedicated truck driver for Wheeler Trucking, Inc. He enjoyed horseback riding, watching Nascar races, hunting and fishing. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Madison Stewart and mother, Marjorie Stewart of Walton, he leaves to carry on his legacy, two sons: Tucker Stewart, Wiley Stewart; a step-son: Tanner Burns; his siblings: Lindsey Stewart, Mike (Stephanie) Stewart, Monica (Kevin) Thornberry, Eddie (Tara) Stewart, Lennie Stewart, Angela (Leslie) Robinson, Rebecca (Rodney) McClure, Kathy McDannold (Shawn Freeman), Heather Stewart (Jason Allen), Shirley (David) Carr, Darlene (David) Brown along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In addition to his father, Wiley B. Stewart, he was preceded in death by a grandmother, Myrtle Hensley and a brother-n-law, Mark McDannold.
Visitation will be Saturday February 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Chad Brannan officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers: Eddie Stewart, Mike Stewart, Austin Jewell, Lennie Stewart, Charlie Alexander, Kevin Thornberry, David Carr and Shawn Freeman.
