Ethel Mae Webster

August 18, 1924 — March 7, 2022

Ethel Mae (Adams) Webster passed away March 7 th , 2022, at the youthful age of 97 at the St Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas while in the care of River Valley Senior Living Facility in Butler Ky. Ethel was one of ten children born to James and Hattie Lozier Adams of Pendleton County, Ky on August 18th, 1924. She was a former Order Puller for Levi Straus, a Packer at Grant County Foods, and a Tube Tester for RCA.  Ethel was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and, also, worshiped at Williamstown Baptist Church. On May 1, 1949 Ethel was united in marriage to her husband, Harold Lee Webster who preceded her in death in 1986.

Ethel called Hogg Ridge Rd in Pendleton County her home for most of her life. She was known for sitting in her front yard waving at everyone that would pass by.  She loved yard sales, whether it was going to them or having them, which was another way she loved visiting people.  Ethel had a passion for gardening and spending time with her family.  She loved going out to eat at Cracker Barrel in Dry Ridge, where they always had the table in the corner waiting for her.  If you ever stopped to visit Ethel, you had to sit and have a cup of coffee. She would probably have some soup beans or a slice of jam cake ready for you, as well.  Ethel was the matriarch and a true blessing to her family and to everyone she met. Ethel never met a stranger.  She could have you telling her your life story within 10 minutes. Ethel will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends.

Ethel leaves behind 4 sons, Ronnie (the late Gloria) Webster of Demossville, KY, Marvin Webster of Williamstown Ky, Billy (Brenda) Webster Williamstown, KY, Joe (Jackie) Webster of Williamstown, Ky, 2 daughters, Joyce (the late Rusty) Robbins, Rick Hatfield of Falmouth, Ky, Marlene (Ray) Riley of Falmouth Ky, and one sister, Bessie Lovelace of Williamstown.  Ethel is, also, survived by 17 grandchildren and their spouses, 36 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Luther Adams, Raymond Adams, James Adams, Stanley Adams, Ambrose Adams, Edith Gastauer, and Aleene Adams, and Jewel Snedegar.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 389 Mt. Carmel Road, Williamstown, KY 41097, Thursday, March 10 th , 2022.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the church with burial immediately following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
