Eunice Farrell Leonard

Eunice Farrell Leonard , 65, of Owenton, KY, moved to her heavenly home Thursday morning July 27, 2023.  Eunice was a godly lady who loved the Lord and loved her family and set a beautiful example for her children and grandchildren that will lead them throughout their lives.

Born on Thursday June 12, 1958 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Cathern Rogers Phillips.  On June 6, 1987 she was united in marriage to her husband, Rev. Gerry Owen Leonard; he survives.

Eunice loved her Savior with all her heart and loved living out “The Gospel” in her daily life. She was a humble, gentle-spirited lady; only heaven knows the powerful impact her life has had on her family, church family and the world-at-large. Among the many places she shared her love was through the ministries of her church, Fellowship Baptist Church in Bedford, KY.  For over 20 years she was a school teacher in Christ-based schools, she was the church pianist and a wonderful caregiver and faithful, loving babysitter.  In previous years she also served as a security guard at Elk Lake Resort and the Raisin Factory Daycare in Owenton.

She hands off her torch of love and witness for the Lord to her husband of 36 years, Gerry Leonard; one daughter: Hannah (Levi) Joy Osborne of Owenton, KY; one son: Benjamin (Kristin) Jacob Leonard of Bedford, KY; one brother: George (Robyn) Phillips, Jr. of Indiana; two sisters: Jo Phillips of Erlanger, KY, Tammy Phillips of Florence, KY and a precious grandson: Noah Joe Leonard of Bedford. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Paul Leonard; a brother, Ronnie Phillips and a sister, Shirley Ann Phillips.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 8 from 1:00 – 2:00 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bedford, located at 432 West St.  Bedford, KY  40006.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Rev. Ron Diehl officiating. Services will also be live streamed.  Burial will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eunice’s memory to the family to go toward her monument.
