Eva Jeanett Barnett

Eva Jeanett Barnett, 81, of the Napoleon Community, of Gallatin County, passed away Wednesday June 1, 2022 at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab Center in Warsaw.  Born January 23, 1941 in Grant Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Hazel Fern Morgan Brashear.

Eva will long be remembered as an honest, hard-working lady that diligently provided for her family. Upon retiring, in her last job, she worked as a material handler for Perfetti Van Mella USA Inc. in Erlanger. As a pastime she loved reading, playing games and traveling, but her greatest fulfillment came from loving her family. She was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Deborah (Roy) Gray of Dry Ridge, Gina (Chester) Gray pf Sparta; two sons: Nelson (Rene) Barnett of Burlington, Ron (Mary) Barnett of Walton, along with 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, whom lovingly called her “Mamaw”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert V. Brashear, David Brashear, a sister: Carol Ruth Thomas and a great-grandson: Hunter Derrick Barnett.

Visitation will be Monday June 6, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Homes in Verona.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Joe Kannady officiating.  Burial will follow in Napoleon Cemetery in Gallatin County.
